Quietness (Reverence) in

Church

Be silent, be thoughtful, and be reverent, for this is the house of the Lord. Before Mass speak to God. During Mass let God speak to you. After Mass speak to one another, but quietly, without disturbing those who are at prayer – ideally in the porch. RACIAL JUSTICE DAY

Racial Justice Sunday (1st Feb) is a time for the Church to pray, reflect and take action against racism, while celebrating the diversity of our Diocese. Everyone is invited to take part, and those who wish may wear national or cultural dress as a sign of unity and pride. Sunday of the Word of God This Sunday we are reminded of the central place of God’s Word in our lives. Scripture - read in the light of the Church’s teaching and the faith of God’s people - anchors us amid the uncertainty of the world. We are encouraged to return often to the Scriptures and allow God’s voice to guide and shape us. Let us renew our commitment to reading and understanding God’s Word, allowing it to deepen our faith and shape our actions. May we grow in love, unity, and authentic Christian witness. As we conclude the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, we also pray for greater harmony among all who follow Christ. Homily and Reflection
